🌸  About the Maria B Kids Collection

Maria B Kids is the children’s line from Maria B one of Pakistan’s most respected fashion houses since 1998. The Kids collection applies the same design philosophy that defines the adult Maria B collections refined embellishment, quality fabrics, feminine colour palettes, and the kind of detailed construction that makes a piece look extraordinary in photographs to children’s occasion wear sized for girls and boys from newborn through to early teenage years.

Unlike generic ‘Pakistani kids clothes’ available on various marketplace sites, Maria B Kids pieces carry full brand authentication, consistent sizing standards, and the quality control of an established fashion house. Each piece is designed as a coordinated ensemble the kameez, the shalwar or lehenga, and the dupatta work as a complete look, not as mixed pieces assembled to fill a catalogue.

🇬🇧  Why UK Parents Specifically Need a UK-Stocked Maria B Kids Option

For UK Pakistani families, children’s Pakistani occasion wear has historically been one of the most logistically painful purchases in the entire family wardrobe. Ordering directly from Pakistan means international shipping timelines of 3–6 weeks, UK customs charges applying to children’s clothing (there is no exemption for small or low-value children’s items), and the anxiety of tracking a once-worn Eid outfit on a DHL international parcel journey.

Libayah’s decision to hold Maria B Kids in UK stock changes every one of those variables. Your order is a domestic UK purchase. No customs applies. And the Consumer Rights Act 2015 gives you 7 days to return if anything about the piece is not right including sizing, which is the most common issue with children’s Pakistani clothing.

👥 Mother & Daughter Eid Coordination

For Eid, the most popular coordination approach is the mother wearing a full Maria B adult lawn suit while her daughter wears the corresponding kids lawn in a complementary colourway. The embroidery motifs are from the same design family, the colour palette coordinates, and the overall effect in family photographs is genuinely beautiful — without requiring identical matching that can look costume-like.

👑 Wedding Formal Coordination

For wedding formal occasions, the coordination works through colour and embellishment tone the mother or aunt wearing a Maria B luxury pret or formal piece in deep sapphire, for example, with the daughter in a Maria B Kids piece in the same blue family with lighter embellishment. The effect reads as coordinated family dressing, not matching costumes.

• Chest: Around the fullest part of the chest under the arms. Keep the tape measure level. Add 1–2 inches ease for comfort and movement.
• Waist: Around the natural waist. Children’s waists are measured relaxed — not pulled tight. Pakistani children’s shalwar has elastic waistbands, so the waist measurement is primarily for the kameez/top.
• Height: Standing barefoot, from the top of the head to the floor. Height determines garment length fit more than any other single measurement for children’s Pakistani clothing.

• Kameez length: Shoulder to desired hem. For children this is typically mid-thigh to knee, depending on the style.
• Shalwar length: Waist to ankle. This is where Pakistani children’s clothing most often needs adjusting for UK-born children, who may have different proportions than Pakistani reference heights.
• When in doubt, WhatsApp: Send your child’s chest, waist, height, and the specific piece. Our team responds within 2 hours with the right size recommendation.

✔  What to Do

• Embellished/embroidered pieces: dry clean with a specialist in ethnic wear, or hand wash in cold water with a pH-neutral detergent, turning inside out
• Plain lawn and cotton pieces: gentle machine wash at 30°C inside out, no spin above 400rpm
• Stain treatment: blot immediately with cold water and a clean white cloth — do not rub
• Drying: always air dry flat in shade. Direct sunlight fades Pakistani fabric dyes, particularly the vibrant prints and embroidered threadwork
• Storage: fold loosely with acid-free tissue paper if possible. For embellished pieces, fold with embroidery facing inward to protect crystals and threadwork

❌  What Not to Do

• Never machine wash embellished pieces — machine agitation dislodges crystals, sequins, and metallic embroidery thread permanently
• Never tumble dry any Pakistani children’s clothing — heat damages embroidery, distorts fabric, and melts synthetic embellishment
• Never iron directly on embellishment — use a pressing cloth or steam from distance of 15–20cm for light creases
• Never store in plastic bags — traps moisture and causes mildew on silk and cotton bases
• Never use bleach or harsh stain removers on embellished or coloured Pakistani fabrics
